Pattaya, Thailand is often referred to as “the sex capital of the world”. Prostitution and fishing are two of the leading industries in Pattaya, resulting in high rates of sex and labor trafficking. Trafficking leaves nearly 2,000 children homeless in Pattaya alone. One-third of Thai families will experience verbal or physical abuse.
58:12 Thailand was founded to provide rescue, shelter, and hope to vulnerable children.
58:12 Thailand will offer holistic and alternative care in a safe home for Thai children 0-18 years old. While staying at 58:12 Thailand, each child will receive personalized care, a quality education, and be taught life skills such as gardening and farming. The House Mothers are Thai women who care for the children while ensuring the homes are run efficiently. Each staff member receives training for first-aid, CPR, and trauma care, as well as basic counseling methods.
